Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Jennifer Rogers joined the
staff of the Texas Maritime Museum in January 2006.
Before coming to the museum, she was on the staff at the Texas
Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco.
Jennifer obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Anthropology
from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana in
2002. She then went on to Baylor University where she received
a Master's degree in Museum Studies. Jennifer has always had
an interest in education, however, she did not want to grade papers.
Being an educator in a museum was a great way to combine her love of
history and education.
When
not at the museum Jennifer enjoys time with her two cats, as well
as painting, and reading.
