Katelin Koon-Educator
Katelin was born in Kansas City, MO but relocated to Texarkana, TX right before the start of her 4th grade year so she considers herself a Texan.
She graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and minors in Anthropology and Classical Studies. Immediately after graduating she went to the University of Southampton in the UK where she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Maritime Archaeology in December of 2009.
Katelin joined the Texas Maritime Museum December 1, 2010. She loves to travel (she’s been all over the world), read and watch movies when not at the museum sharing her love of all things maritime and history related with anyone who will listen.
