Donation Criteria
|
The Texas Maritime Museum accepts donation
of objects and photographs that meet certain criteria. We are limited in
space for storage and must consider what we accept carefully. Below is a
list of criteria that must be met before we can accept the object. If
you have something that falls within this criteria that you would like
to donate. Please call the office at (361)729-1271 or email us at
curator@texasmaritimemuseum.org.

- There must be clear
proof of title or ownership.

- Items that relate to our
key themes.
|
|
|
- The history and
development of Texas seaports, maritime communities, and maritime
commerce along Gulf waterways, bays, estuaries, including the roles
of the Texas Navy, United States Navy, and United States Coast
Guard.
- The exploration and
settlement history of the Texas Gulf Coast, including the roles of
Spanish and French exploration efforts and the history of immigrant
settlements along the coast.
- The history and
technology of offshore petroleum production and transportation.
- An overview of the Texas
seafood and fishing industries history, emphasizing both commercial
and recreational fishing.

Rockport or Fulton, Texas History.
