Cruise Classes
Cruise Class is a monthly program designed for families with children between the ages of 3 and 16 years old. Each month children and adults explore maritime topics in relation to traditional school subjects. Activities are a combination of hands-on, discussion, group participations, challenges and creative ideas – thus, creating an exciting learning experience for youth of all ages. Cruise Class meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 3:00 - 4:30 pm Admission is $2.00 with a family membership. $6.00 regular fee. Adults accompanying children are free.

First Mates will participate in creative writing exercises in addition to learning finger-spelling to enhance writing and spelling capabilities. Stories will be collected, self-published and sold in the museum store.

A famous battle and the only one in the world in which a sail ship defeated a steam ship. First Mates will reenact the fateful conflict and get all-hands-on-deck with history.
